New Guild Hunters, Kappa and School Boys for Sengoku 15mm Japanese Fantasy

Sculpted by John Bell the mighty Sengoku 15mm Japanese Fantasy range is the largest of its kind in the whole world and now has two hundred and twenty poses of miniatures.  All as singles plus packs and value sets plus scenics and two books in the Monster Hunter game written by Steve Danes.

New releases now in the range a total of nine new metal miniatures giving you Swimming Kappa, School Boys and a second group of Guild Hunters.

Swimming Kappa.  A pack of twelve mixed of three poses is SGFP60 and you can get them singly as codes SGF212, SGF213 and SGF214.  These go alongside a much earlier release which is SGFP05 Kappa which is part of SGFP1 Sengoku Set One the most popular starting place for Monster Hunter players.

Japanese School Boys.  A pack of twelve mixed of three poses is SGFP61 and they are singles as SGF215, SGF216 and SGF217.  These are the counter point to an older release SGFP06 Japanese School Girls.  For those who wish to get sword play and such in anime style settings.

Guild Hunters II.  SGFP62 is a pack of three poses.  Character monster hunters as singles too SGF218, SGF219 and SGF220.  Following on a popular code SGFP33 Guild Hunters these are your heroes in the Monster Hunter game.

While every Sengoku miniature is a single pose the best way to collect the insane variety of Yokai and Humans in the range is by the Sengoku Sets which all have a saving and feature no doubles of poses. There are currently ten different sets.

If you wish to try your hand at being a Guild Hunter then check out Sengoku Monster Hunter and its sequel Rampage as print and cheaper instant digital books.  Solo play and much more.  You need only a handful of miniatures to get going and no two adventures are ever the same. We recommend you begin by reading the books and then choosing your figures.  Or get SGFP01 Sengoku Set One and one of the Guild Hunter miniatures to start.

Sengoku 15mm Japanese Fantasy new Tanuki and rules too

Now released new miniatures for the mightiest range of fantasy creatures and humans in a mythical Japanese setting that there is!  The beginning of the next wave starts here with a couple of rather odd and collectable Tanuki.

As with the rest of the range every miniature can be had as a single and also as a pack with a small saving plus the excellent value Sengoku Sets which allow you to save more and get everything from each wave of releases in one place.  These codes as SGF205, SGF206 and SGFP58.

There are now more than two hundred different miniatures in the range almost all sculpted by John Bell includes these latest additions.  Here are rules for you to make use them in Sengoku Monster Hunter.

SGF205 Tsuitate Tanuki

The Tsuitate Tanuki acts as other Tanuki do in your game of Monster Hunter and should be allocated its Monster Marker as given.  It has the same game stats for a Tanuki as found on page 37 of the core game book.  When in play it is stationary and will not move but it does have a special ability.  Due to the elaborate portable partition it sits upon it may roll 1 d6 dice upon its activation and on a result of 6 another Tanuki emerges from behind the screen.  This is a typical warrior type armed with a club or a bow.  This continues until the monster is removed from play.

SGF206  Tanuki Rickshaw Cart

The Tanuki Rickshaw Cart is a special item in your game of Monster Hunter.  Allocate it a Monster Marker as normal.  The Tanuki pulling has the game stats for a a Tanuki as given on page 37 of the core game book but it is unarmed.  It has a rickshaw cart and will not abandon it for any reason.  When removed from play the cart also vanishes from play.  Any roughly human sized monster within 3cm of the cart may elect to enter it and then the cart will move 10cm in a chosen direction.  The monster may then leave the cart and act normally as it has not taken its action. The cart may hold only one passenger at a time.

If you wish to get in on making a name for yourself as a Guild Hunter in the excellent rules for one to four or solo play by Steve Danes then check out the Sengoku range where you will find two titles.  Sengoku Monster Hunter the core game book with all you need to play and Rampage its expansion which adds a lot to the game.  Both are in print and cheaper as paid digital downloads.

Those looking to start in the game are recommended to purchase the core book as well as SGFP1 Sengoku Set 1 and SGFP33 Guild Hunters along with a pack of SGFP32 Sengoku Monster Hunter Tokens.  These codes give all you need to play and act as a jump off point too.

Paladin on Flying Moose 28mm release by John Bell

Sometimes a miniature or a model comes along that just makes you smile and wonder at the awesome nature of the hobby we all enjoy.  Things never to be seen in the real world which can appear on your table or in your display case.  Today is one such day and we are delighted to offer you the largest fantasy sculpt since 58020 Jigoku the Giant Oni who is 100mm tall in the Kitton range.

JBC00 Paladin of the Empire of Newfoundland: A superbly original kit sculpted by John Bell (Sengoku 15mm Japanese Fantasy, Frontear 28mm Wylde West, SHM Range) who is a native of Canada.  A center piece for your collection with many cool details.

Resin and Metal kit with fifteen pieces composing a plate armoured human paladin rider with sword raised and a separate shield and musical instrument.  A moose body with four separate legs and separate head and antlers plus a wrap of coils to act as reins for the paladin.  Two mighty feathered wings and a specialised base with plug points.  When assembled the model is 70mm long nose to tail, 55mm to top of rider and 190mm wide wingspan.  Please note this is a complex model to assemble compared to typical Alternative Armies codes. This model is supplied with a metal base (shown on this and a larger 40mm square cartouche base) and is supplied unpainted and unassembled.  Other miniatures shown for scale only and not supplied.

A good counterpart to this new release could well be our FL23 Men at Arms Party which contains ten different knights and soldiers of a high fantasy lean.  It also has a saving off single purchase of its contents.

Sengoku 15mm releases Fuku Tanuki plus Japanese Boxes and Containers

November has a lot of new in terms of scenic pieces and pure oddity when it comes to the Sengoku 15mm Japanese Fantasy range.  Sculpted by John Bell these releases take the range to nearly two hundred miniatures.  Go HERE for a browse of the range and books or read on.

Brand new Fuku Tanuki and the eight different single miniatures which make up the Japanese Boxes and Containers.  These new releases are joined above by the hunter SGF103 Takemito the Sumo as well as SGF146 Shogi Player on Bench plus other scenics the SGF108 Hokora Roadside Shrine and SGF109 Carved Milestone.  Meant for use in Sengoku Monster Hunter and its expansion Rampage these 15mm scale miniatures can be set in Fantasy or in Historical Japan for any game system.

SGF188 Fuku Tanuki: A yokai of the oddest sort and a very unique foe for your hunters to seek out or to meet in the wilds of mythical Japan. Composed of the creature and two wooden stilt frames upon which is rests.  Add it to your collection!

As with all Sengoku miniatures which are not single code creatures (such as the Ki-Shu Oriental Dragon) we offer them as a pack made up of single codes.  The new Japanese Boxes and Containers are like this.  SGFP54 contains two sets of the seven pieces with a saving. Single codes are SGF189 to SGF195 within the range. Total choice.  Very useful in many settings.

If you fancy tracking down yokai, creatures, bandits and others as a skilled warrior then look no further than Steve Danes rule set Sengoku Monster Hunter. A Tabletop Game. A game for one to four players set in medieval Japan where monsters and creatures of myth roam the jagged crags and hidden valleys of the Sacred Mountain. It is from the Sengoku setting and has merciless hunters who track down the monsters and slaughter them at every opportunity. Two different books both in print and as digital downloads as well.

These are the last releases for Sengoku this year.  The range will continue to expand in 2022 with many more miniatures and creatures.
