Wheels Pack and Elf Dragoon Conversion Pack released!

Late on last year there was a thread running on the venerable Notables Yahoo Group among Flintloque fans concerning wheels.  Wheels for adding to dioramas, for converting and scratch building and also for outfitting cannons and howitzers differently.  Alternative Armies took this idea on board and we are pleased to now release a new pack into the Battlefield Bits range alongside our Debris and Muskets as well as Bits & Sprues codes.  We also have a great conversion pack now released for use with any Ferach Elf force in Flintloque and or Slaughterloo.  This pack contains thirty white metal pieces taken from 51533 Ferach Elf Line Dragoons such as various heads, sword, scabbard, eagle standard, cartridge box and more meaning you can adapt or re-build any of our Elves in your collection. Read on for details of both packs.

59008 Battlefield Wheels Pack
This pack contains ten white metal 28mm scale wheels in five pairs of two.  These are suitable for use in Flintloque but also in any historical or fantasy setting as well.  The types of wheels are wooden with iron rims (artillery), damaged spokes with iron rims (carts and destroyed), thin iron wheels (carriages and urban uses), primitive all wooden wheels (farm wagons and Undead) and small solid wooden wheels for use with barrows or artillery of a shorter stature.  This code can be bought as a pack or using the drop down menu on the product page you can select a pair of wheels for single purchase.  Pack price 5.00GBP  Go HERE.

51533P Ferach Dragoon Conversion Pack
This pack contains thirty white metal 28mm scale parts.  These are suitable for use in Flintloque and Slaughterloo as well as with some more historical settings too.  The pieces contained are randomly selected but will include the following.  An Imperial Eagle standard held in a hand for wrist mounting, a pair of Dragoon legs and waist in line uniform (allowing conversions of upper bodies of miniatures), Cavalry Sabre, Sabre Scabbard, Cartridge Box, Cavalry Carbine, Dragoon head in helmet mouth open shouting, Dragoon head in helmet mouth closed, Dragoon bare headed with hair tied back and Dragoon head bare mouth open shouting.  You will get a fair mix of thirty parts in the pack.  These parts are all taken from 51533 Elf Line Dragoons codes.  This code can be bought as a pack or using the drop down menu on the product page you can select any of the listed parts for single purchase.  Pack Price 7.50GBP.  Go HERE.

Its a bumper week for those who like to convert their Alternative Armies miniatures.  Enjoy!

First Look at 52518 Von Rotte Dwarf Artillery Crew

Welcome to the second in the 'first look' series of posts for Flintloque and Slaughterloo. As I said in the initial one of these postings the world now likes to see miniatures before release and thus I have promised to do it. This time it is the 'greens' the original sculpts of the next Von Rotte Legion code. Raw and without being painted or based with high resolution images so you can see them as they are and then upon release as they can be in our official uniforms for that unit in the games of Flintloque and Slaughterloo. Here we go!

52518 Von Rotte Artillery Crew
This is a set of 28mm white metal and resin miniatures full of characterful touches that form a small unit to man your field guns in battle. Meant for use with the Von Rotte Legion but equally at home with any other Finklestein Dwarf army. Six Dwarf gunners on foot along with two Pummilig limber pigs. A Gun Captain with his arm in a sling, foot atop a cannon ball and aiming a pistol. A sponger with sponge topped ram rod ready to clean out the cannon for reloading. A gunner with a trail spike to align the cannon before firing. With a length of lit slow fuse out stretched a Dwarf gunner who has his Tricorne under his arm. A gunner with water bucket and arm raised in defiance of the enemy and finally a Dwarf gunner struggling with a large shotte or shelle for the artillery piece. Two identical limber pigs are included and these are Pummilig Pigs of the same kind that are ridden but with the addition of limber harness and tack.

This totals eight miniatures which is the full gun crew and that will work with all of our artillery pieces but its really meant for the 59520 Mortar which is the normal Legion artillery. This set has a place in a Dwarf players collection as he builds towards a full division. See the rest of the Von Rotte Legion HERE

We had a really good response to our first new legion code 52517 Von Rotte Command Set and as we said we will be releasing one new code per month until the whole Von Rotte Legion is complete and at the end a whole Divisional Army Pack (DAP) will be released also. So check back in a little more than two weeks for the release of the Artillery Crew as this will be on 11th February 2015. Go now or go then to pick yourself up a brilliant set of Napoleonique Dwarves created by our in house art, design and sculpting team headed by Sam Croes.

VNT3 Orrid Ogres Released!

“Some would say that you would have to be desperate to hire Ogres into your army. After all they are savages as quick to eat you as to knuckle their foreheads and follow a manlings orders. In fact few of the hamlets along the camberly road would allow our men at arms to billet in their hovels for fear of the big brutes that trailed behind cleavers and clubs in hairy hands. It could have put a fine halt to our campaign against the Dwarves and no mistake but our commander was a wily one and did not give the short arses the chance to profit from our choice of warriors. In the dawn of the first day of the march he paid handsomely a farmer for his whole sty of swine. That put things right with the villagers as we marched through. Some of the peasants even came outside to gape at the Ogres. Those friendly, well fed Ogres. Each of them with a whole pig stuffed into the gap between belly and its belt notches!”

This code contains two 25mm/28mm white metal creatures approx 30mm in height in one piece each. Great quality, great choice and great value too. Go HERE. Poses in this code are as follows:

VNT3-01: Ogre with big cleaver and horned helmet, chainmail armour, skulls and flint blade at his waist. A whole pig tied to his belt!
VNT3-02: Ogre with spiked club and sword, a ball and chain on his back, skulls and a severed arm at his belt!

These miniatures are not supplied with bases and are supplied unpainted. Select your choice from the drop down product menu. Choose from a pack or three packs with a 10% saving applied.

The Alternative Armies classic high fantasy range dates from the period of the late 1980's to early 1990's through to the end of that decade. Designed by leading names in the wargaming industry and highly successful in its day this range has been on hiatus. Alternative Armies, under the name 'Project Darkhelm' is dedicated to re-mastering, re-molding and re-releasing this entire range back onto the market. We will be doing this work at a measured pace and a weekly rate maintaining high quality and excellent pricing. During and beyond this process Project Darkhelm will see the range continue to be expanded in the mediums of white metal and high grade resin using top industry designers in new releases. Every pose in each pack is unique with no duplicates making them perfect for skirmish wargaming, roleplaying and unit building for any battle system.

Welcome to the new year and to a year that will see an entire army added to the miniatures line for Flintloque and for Slaughterloo plus even more. This begins today with the release of the first brand new code in the Von Rotte Legion; 52517 Von Rotte Command Set. We will be releasing a new set or unit code every month until the army is complete. We will also be previewing the next release a couple of weeks before it is released to let you all see what is coming. Read on for more information. This set has a place in a Dwarf player's collection giving armies the personality officers they want. Go HERE

Choose from the full set or select one single officer on foot to boost your forces. All miniatures can be purchased unpainted and are supplied with bases or pro-painted with sculpted basing effect. Use the drop down options menu on the product page of your choice for details.

VON ROTTE LINE
Some would say these short fellows are the finest regular infantry on Valon. Their regimental histories read like a scroll of the entire era of black powder war in Urop. The structure of a Regular line battalion is as follows. Fusilier battalions are two to the regiment and each is composed of nearly eighteen hundred Dwarves plus officers and staff. A battalion was divided into six large equal companies, one of which designated as a skirmish company of Light Troops. Each company has about three hundred Dwarves which are separated into six Platoons and three headquarters elements. A Section normally has ten to fifteen Dwarves including an Officer, a lesser Officer, a couple of Sergeants, a musician and standard bearer, the rest being Soldats. They are armed with a Dwarf Musket MkII , Officers have a Sword, Sergeants have a Musket. The uniform consists of a red tunic, white breeches, a black tricorne and black shoes. Facing colours (cuffs, collars, etc.) vary. Equipment is black and brown, with equipment straps being of white leather.

The natural place for the Von Rotte is central Urop fighting against the Dogmen of Ostaria and the Dwarves of Krautia. You can learn more about this campaign in 5028 Flintloque 3rd Edition Beir & Bones game book. Click HERE to visit the website to read more on this book. There are other codes in the Von Rotte range already including the Baron himself on Bristle the pig as well as Line Infantry and Grenadiers. We are on our way to a full army and a full divisional army pack too.
