Raxa Attack Ship 15mm Chuhuac Flyer release by Loud Ninja Games

There are more than seventy codes to choose from in the 15mm scale range by Loud Ninja Games which is manufactured by Alternative Armies. From the mind of Eli Arndt.  The famous Ikwen as well as the Yandrassi, Wasteland Mutants, Archon Mecha, Aliens and vehicles.  A new release adds the Raxa Light Attack Ship to this array as flying or landed back up for the Space Raptors named the Chuhuac.

The Chuhuac have infantry as well as command and grav bikes, battlesuits and ground vehicles all of which make for a really different 15mm force.  There are value packs too which give ready made platoons with a saving baked in.  There is also a 'herd' which gives you a bigger saving with a mighty mega lot of miniatures.  See all this on the Loud Ninja Games pages.

RAP051 Raxi Light Attack Ship:  This 15mm scale resin and metal vehicle kit gives you all the pieces to assemble a Chuhuac flyer in fight or landed on the ground.  A total of 34 Parts!  This gives many weapon load out options as well as in flight and landed legs.  Extra weapons can be added to the model or put in your bits box.  When assembled for flight the model has a 170mm wingspan, a 95mm length and 55mm total height.

If you are looking to get started with the Space Raptors then we recommend RAP001P Chuhuac Platoon which gives you the infantry and from there you can add in vehicles and so forth.

Not often mentioned there are actually six different 28mm scale Chuhuac Space Raptors which are great for any game system.  These go really well with the Alternate Stars range for games such as Rogue Stars and Stargrave.

Nox heavily armoured troops of the Khanate pt11 Ion Age 28mm overhauling

"The Nox.  Part of a Khanate Legion but also seemingly above and beyond it, the Nox are a law unto themselves to Human observers. Their Segmentum powered armour is superior to Retained Alwite and their reputation for brutality and evil well deserved. These are Legionaries assumed to be of greater age and experience. No Nox has been taken alive for interrogation. Whenever the Nox are encountered it means the Shia Khan are intent on winning at any cost. Tactical doctrine calls for the use of Desteria Knights against these ultimate Legionaries."

With only the Legionaries themselves remaining to be overhauled (this will be in July) we present the heavy hitting elite of the Shia Khan Empire in the 28mm Ion Age range.  Following on from the Malig Goblinoids we have the Nox.  A total of six remolded miniatures now single as well as two value packs.

Todoroni duelling officer released for Flintloque and En Garde

The expansion of the Army of Nepolise in the World of Valon continues with a characterful miniature sculpted by Nikki Chatwin.  Following up on his recent Todoroni this time is a Captain of Hussars on foot with blade drawn. Popularly requested to lead your sections in Flintloque, to act as the officer of line, light or dismounted cavalry in Slaughterloo or to be a made duellist for the En Garde rules (which can be used by any Valon race as well as Crystal and Armorican Elves).

The Todoroni of Nepolise are allies of the Ferach Empire and serve under Emperor Mordred from Catalucia to the Witchlands.  Their army contains infantry, cavalry, artillery and more.  They feature in 5025 War in Catalucia and in 5026 Death in the Snow game books and of course in 5030 Slaughterloo.

56135 Todoroni Duellist Officer:  A one piece metal miniature in uniform armed with a drawn sword and with hussar's pelisse in uniform.  Stands 36mm tall.

This new metal miniature is a 'little' Todoroni meaning it scales to Elves and Orcs in height.  Here it is next to the hero of 5024 Escape the Dark Czar beginners set General Saindoux as well as next to the huge Frusacti Grenadieria Sapper and the lowly Todoroni Servant too with his tray.

Malig Space Goblins of the Khanate pt10 Ion Age 28mm overhauling

"The Maligs...Vermin. Savage and cruel with a taste for the sadistic and prone to acts of lunacy and utterly needless violence, the name given to their small green or mottled brown humanoids is Malig. Taken from records which make frequent mention of these creatures, second only to Legionaries, their name suits them. They are malicious and deadly. Maligs are Goblinoids and, while shorter and weaker than Humans, they are numerous in the extreme. Rather than seeming to define a formation many Legions treat a horde of Maligs as an attached source of cannon fodder. Cunning, cowardly but rather effective at killing, given superiority in numbers and opportunity, the Maligs should not be underestimated. With second rate armour and weapons and also some rather odd contraptions, the Maligs are often the bane of Planetary Militia or unfortunate Muster patrols. They are the lowest rung on the command ladder along with Betrayers."

NB2R Nick Bibby 1982 Dragon released as unlimited number resin kit

At the start of March 2023 Alternative Armies returned the world a lost classic of 1980's fantasy wargaming; the mighty NB2 Dragon by Asgard Miniatures.  Remastered in new molds and metal Nick Bibby's mighty monster was presented as a now sold out run of 200 numbered box sets each of which contained the dragon plus a saddle and rider.  At the time we promised that the dragon would be released later as an unlimited much cheaper resin version of the kit (NB3 Dragon Rider and NB4 Saddle were not limited) and that day has come!   See the WEBSITE for the Dragon as well as links to articles and more about it.

There was some work done to the Dragon to allow it to be converted to resin.  This is about 5% in total but in all honesty once assembled and painted these changes cannot be seen.  They were mainly alterations to the wings and thickening to the joint plugs for wings and neck.

When assembled the Dragon is 190mm long, 150mm in height, with a wing span from 120mm to 140mm upward depending on build pose chosen.  

The Dragon is supplied in nine resin parts at 28mm scale (though it will work in other scales).  These are the body, the left wing, the right wing, the tail, the head and neck, left leg, right leg, claw and wrist, left foot, right foot.  It is a big model!

Here are two scale photos with 28mm and 15mm.  You can see just how large this model is!

Pictures of our own painted metal NB2 Dragon so you can see what it looks like all finished.  The saddle fits upon the neck and almost any Human sized rider fit for a horse will sit upon it.

Ion Age 28mm and 3D Roleplay Con III results!

One of the most looked forward to conventions focused on that classic age of wargaming has taken place and it is our pleasure to present to you the results as well as some pictures.  Also the winners of the 28mm Ion Age Range packs of miniatures given by us freely as prizes.  Over to Hank Richardson (You can find these guys on Instagram too) from Portland, Oregan two weekends ago...

“3D Roleplay Convention III was a very great success!  We had over 15 events across all 3 days of gaming. We played Space Hulk, HeroQuest, Man O' War, Space Fleet, Rogue Trader, Adeptus Titancius (1988), Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay, & many more! 

The first day we had several great games of Space Hulk (where the marines actually managed to take many victories, oddly enough!) and an exciting game of Space Fleet. Man O'War was also enjoyed plus Heroquest. 

The second day was a massive six player and Games Master battle of Rogue Trader, with an original scenario that had an Imperial planet in a state of civil war. The confederates had two massive siege cannons deployed & the Imperial governor sent forces to drop in & take them out with explosive charges. The strike team was all Ion Age Muster Troops & the governor & his retinue were Marcher Baron models from Ion Age. 

There was a massive Horus Heresy siege of the imperial palace game using 6mm Warlord, Reaver & Warhound titans from the old Adeptus Titanicus game of 1988.

Lots of smaller games were played throughout the weekend and we ended the last day of the convention with a massive twelve player Warhammer siege game. It was epic.  There are photo highlights of the convention (in addition to prize winner shots). Thank you again so much to Alternative Armies for your support and sponsorship of our convention. June is here! Middle of the year and what a year it has been thus far. So much fun on the table, so much new and so many classics restored as well.

Loud Ninja Games has been working on some new releases in 15mm scale for their excellent range. From Ikwen (pictured above) to Yandrassi, Wasteland Raiders and more there will be a flying vehicle for the space raptor Chuhuac which will back up their array of infantry, bikes and battlesuits. This will be second half of the month and yes it will be taking wing! 

 

 

We are nearing the end of the 28mm Ion Age Range overhaul. During this month we will move near to completing the Shia Khan Empire with single options and saver packs for the Goblinoid Maligs, the elite Nox plus their platoon sets (with two miniatures included for free). As always the existing prices are in place until a code is overhauled. We are always fair. Above are the recently overhauled cyberscum known as the Betrayers! 

 

 

There will also be a new Flintloque release tied into En Garde in the second half of June. A Todoroni Duellist Officer sculpted by Nikki Chatwin (he of the recently Todoroni Servant and giant Toad Sapper). News on that at the time.
