Armoured Goblin Knights with separate weapons 28mm scale now released!

Back in 2018 we spoke in our BLOG about the planned expansion of the classic 28mm scale metal Armoured Goblins. Working with Zach Martin we are delighted to announce the release of the first pack spoken of then.  Alternative Armies gives you open handed Goblin Knights which are supplied with a set of six different weapons to outfit them with.  These join all the other Armoured Goblins such as the Knights, Knights Command, Bolt Thrower, Chariot with Crew the Sword Bearer and who could forget the Dodo Riders.

In full plate mail these Goblins are great for many settings and campaigns such as defending a Temple of Doom or even paired up with Giant Spiders!

OH34 Goblin Knights Open Hand

This pack contains four 28mm scale white metal Goblin poses in full plate armour. An officer, a standard bearer, knight with round shield with skull motif and warrior with long shield all with an open hand to take a weapon. An array of six different weapons are supplied with each Goblin giving you the choice of how to arm them (and spares for your bits box too!). Spear, Halberd, Sword, Curved Sword, Bow and Quiver of Arrows.  One Set per Miniature.

OH 28mm Orc Brigands, Chariot, Boar Riders and Artillery released!

“Galvus Sertain lay propped against a tree his mailed legs mangled and three dead Goblins around him.  His hands were clutching his belly tightly trying in vain to contain the pain of his innards away as they sought to escape from the wound made by the serrated blade of his last attacker.  Bloodied his great sword lay at his side discarded.  His strength to fight deserted him and it was all he could do to watch as the last of his own army fled and the Orcish Horde advanced.  Atop snorting boars, their tusks sharpened to a point Orcs rode ahead waving swords and clubs.  Behind them rumbled crude chariots pulled by more boars being whipped by their drivers while an archer notched an arrow ready to loose upon command.  At the edges and further back Orcs on foot dressed in the looted or stripped clothing of Men picked at corpses of all races and plied teeth from skulls for the chance of gold.  They all ignored the lone wounded soldier seeing him rightly as no threat.  But not all ignored Galvus.  He looked on with fatalistic resignation at a pair of Orcs who were turning the crank on a bolt thrower.  They were grinning through broken teeth as they turned the huge bow towards the tree.  Galvus did not even feel the strike that took his life.  The iron bolt went high of the intended mark and pierced his skull before passing on through the tree.  Other more civilised races might have offer the soldier aid or perhaps a merciful death...but to the Orcs he was nothing more than target practise for the rest of the day ahead.”

OH28 Goblin Chariot Released!

A fantastic re-release into our classic fantasy range at Alternative Armies this time.  Progressing through the OH series of codes and this time its the Goblin Chariot kit with wolves!  This white metal 28mm scale kit contains all the parts you need to build a Goblin Chariot with two wolves pulling it and two Goblins riding in it.  The pack is as follows:

"Racing across the plain and ahead of the broiling Goblin Hordes the charioteers have harnessed wolves to the rickety construction that they made from scavenged  Dwarvish nails and Elvish timber burned at the ends.  Those charioteers who had teeth soon lose them to the jarring clamour of high speed travel and the wolves that are forced to pull the creaking chariot are foul tempered at best and sated on raw Goblin flesh at worst.  With spear and sword the chariot riders lash out at those foes and indeed friends that pass by in a blur.  Death or glory!  That is the life of a Charioteer!"
