Knight of Dresda released into 28mm High Fantasy range

"Look at 'em. Prancing about with their fancy stuff lording it over us coz they have aspirations and such. Yeah, I know we are standing in the front ranks with the pikes in our hands and cheap broad cloth on our backs. But its an honest trade so it is; soldiering for your lord. Not like those jumped up fopdoodles behind us trying to climb into his lordship's lap. Them lads will come to a sticky end mark me words. Yes, when the Orcs get here and the tussle begins proper like all that shiny iron plate and bright shields will do 'em no good at all. Any that survives will be no more than mumblecrusts. What's that you say...them's behind us and we is first to meet the Orcs and we ain't got no armour nor shields...well that's true...errr...well as his lordship said we is doing honest soldiering."

Now released into our large range of 28mm High Fantasy miniatures a new mounted plate armoured knight.  A great miniature for fanatasy gaming and historical wargaming too. You can see it along with all of our other Knights and Footsoldiers HERE.

Death in the Snow book and starter pack coming back into stock and offer

The Elven Emperor Mordred seeks an even greater source of power and having assembled the greatest army which Valon has even known he invades the mysterious Witchlands.  But the Elves and their allies uncover a legion of frozen horrors when they are overwhelmed by the Dark Czar's endless battalions of the Undead. Assailed by Zombies, Skeletons, Wraiths, Ghouls and even Vampyres they fight their way clear into the tundra.  So begins the hellish retreat from Moskova...

Oh frabjous day!  A week ago the current print run of 5026 Death in the Snow game book for Flintloque third edition sold out.  A new print run has been ordered and it will be here with us in a week or so.  This makes Death in the Snow the most printed title of the four books for the greatest Napoleonique skirmish tabletop game in the world.

In celebration we are offering a pre-order on the book, the shilling starter set and the digital download (to be totally fair!) with 20% off the regular price of all three until the print run arrives.  This offer will run until Monday 10th February 9am GMT to give everyone fair time and we will ship out orders soon as the print run comes in.  Go HERE for the book, go HERE for the book with miniatures and intro scenarios and go HERE for the download version (which is already 20% less than print).  Enjoy!

54013 Orc Dismounted Dragoons – Flintloque 001

Flintloque the Skirmish and by extension the mass battle game Slaughterloo use miniatures from the huge 28mm World of Valon range.  Since 1995 the fantasy Napoleonioque setting has grown and grown adding new races and regiments and characters all the while.  Now in 2020 there are more than one thousand miniatures across twenty nations as well as five books and a beginners set as well.  Alternative Armies is now commencing with a project to re-master and re-mold many of the classic 90's codes in the range to make them 'fresh' for players and collectors. As well as this we will be, in places, expanding a pack into two packs or even an entire force filling in suggested gaps from Flintloque and Slaughterloo feedback.  This is on top of our usual molding as we do to keep figures in production.

We shall announce it each time a pack is made fresh in this project.  We plan to focus on Greate Britorcn that being Orcs, Ratmen, Bog Orcs and Ogres but we will be touching on the Undead and Ferach Empire too.  As well as new larger images we shall, each time, place the pack on special offer for a while as a treat.  Some of these packs will have new free articles written for them too.  We aim to make such announcements several times a month.  See the FLINTLOQUE tab on the blog to get all these posts in a line up.  Now for the first such pack...001 as it were for 2020!

54013 Orc Dismounted Dragoons
The Dragoons of the Army of Albion are lightly armed Orcs who use their swords and carbines to scout and range ahead of the marching battalions.  If they have to fight on foot or they lose their horses they will dismount. Three 28mm scale metal larger Orcs dismounted from the Dragoons.  Armed with Swords and Pistols they are dynamic poses great for skirmishing and acting as officers and cavalry on foot.  Each miniature in this pack is about 30mm tall.  Pose 1 is aiming with pistol.  Pose 2 is in greatcoat and holding sword.  Pose 3 is waving while holding sword.  Miniatures are supplied unpainted and with our resin cartouche bases.  Go HERE for full information.

There is a link to two free articles on the Dragoons page taken from Orcs in the Webbe's 2019 Advent Calendar.

If you are new to Flintloque then it is well worth going along to our website the Begin in Flintloque page of resources, starter set and scenarios.
