Legion de Nain Dwarf divisions new for Slaughterloo

It gives us great delight to announce not only two more Divisional Army Packs (DAP's) added to the Slaughterloo mass battle selection (making more than twenty to choose from each saving 15% off single purchases) but also the conclusion of the Legion de Nain army project! Slaughterloo uses the exact same miniatures as Flintloque with the same basing conventions except that instead of sections of characters it is ranks in units to make a division. While some skirmish players do not move onto battle level play many do once they have infantry as well as cavalry, command and artillery. Each of the two new divisions contains two units of 20 Legion de Nain Line as well as 20 Legion de Nain Grenadiers and 12 Legion de Nain Skirmishers. They have 10 Uhlan Lancers and a 6 miniature gun crew plus 2 limber beasts and 1 mounted Commander. Lastly 4 Legion de Nain casualties, 1 Ferach Grand Howitzer with Limber as well as all the needed infantry and cavalry bases. You save 15% off single miniature prices and while 52604 Legion de Nain Dwarf Division has Pummilig Pigs the other 52605 Legion de Nain Dwarf Division has Boars as mounts. 

 

Here are both divisions laid out with all their content miniatures (bases not shown). Every Dwarf is a character in his own right with eight poses for each infantry unit and all gunners, commander and casualties being different poses for each miniature supplied. Lovely!

Every warring nation has its own 'DAP' which will get you on the table and indeed is suitable to be broken up for Flintloque sections too as some players do to gain the saving. The new releases for Flintloque and Slaughterloo for this month have been awaited. Command Sets for the Legion de Nain. As with other command sets such as 54506 Orc Command and 51507 Elf Command these sets give you two mounted senior officers a general and commander in chief as well as four different personality character foot officers. Heroic, Dastardly, Cowardly and Aggressive as fits the types in Slaughterloo for your units and of course set a tone for a Flintloque section as part of a line, light, grenadier or even gun crew section. Legion de Nain new Artillery Crews released for Flintloque

Legion de Nain Staff new Dwarves released for Flintloque

“Coin is a funny thing.  Tiny bits of gold, silver and copper but in the hearts of Nain's there is little which will inspire more avarice than their chink in bag or chest.  Pay Masters guard their coin well and in fact even during the worst of defeats and routs it is rare to see the glint of metal exposed.  Either the officers gather enough troops around them to stave off predation or the predation results in staved in heads.  Either way I see the pay chests and I see the razor edged blade of the Pay Master's axe too."  (Legionnaire Gurt Feigling, 1st Legion de Nain)

We present the final of three dedicated pack codes (pack or singles from it) of character infantry for the Legion De Nain.  This time it is the 'staff' aides and officers with purpose to put into your force.  You can also see above 52005D Legion Officer on Pony, Legionary Drummer from 52005 and Beer Barrel Barricade from our scenic range.  Following up on the casualties and wounded last month and the veterans before them this new pack slots right into the infantry of the line, grenadiers or skirmishers of these Dwarves. 52022 Legion de Nain casualties released for Flintloque

“We wept.  All of us.  Dwarf killing Dwarf it was a nightmare and more it was all the plan of the tyrant Mordred.  To weaken us so that we might be brought under his bejeweled thumb and put enmasse into his armies.  I watched the wounded walk and be carried from the field at Fassbier as the roar of musketry sounded like thunder.  Later when only smoke and horror remained on the field we went looking for our Nains who had fallen.  Some we found.  Others..well they were so parted that none could name them.  I did not sleep for days.” (Major Ulf von Slackblatten 1st Legion de Nain)

They are a bare headed Dwarf with an injured leg using a walking crutch, his arm in a sling and his eyes covered due to injury too (A), Dwarf sitting with a gut wound mouth open in pain (B), Dwarf in full uniform laying face up deceased (C) and Dwarf in full uniform laying face down deceased (D). They are a bare headed Dwarf with eye patch aiming pistol ideal for section command or duelling (A), Dwarf arms folded head back laughing with musket on his back (B), bare headed Dwarf drinking from a opened bier stein and holding half of a large cured sausage (C) and Dwarf in glasses in process of lighting a long stem pipe (D).  All have extra equipment on their belts and backs.  Go HERE.

52525 Legion de Nain Light Troops released and the Bier War

“That crafty beer loving Baron von Rotte saw his chance to gain some glory and many kegs too when the Bier War began in earnest.  With the attention of the Legions de Nain taken up in Worstweiser and Krickle where new breweries being built the battalions of the Baron made a rapid march on the town of Fassbier home of the fabled brewery of the same name.  If Fassbier fell then the city of Madabier, already reeling from the attacks on the Krolsberg Brewery (probably the finest in the world) could go into open revolt and be ripened wheat for the conquest.  It would fall to the numerically greater but far less experienced 1st Legion de Nain to stop him with their skirmishers taking the first blow.” Harold Brekmeister the learned Dwarf  (historian and scholar at Monich University)

52525 Legion de Nain Skirmishers: This is the light company of a battalion given the role of ranging ahead of the line and grenadiers.  Armed with Dwarf Musket MkII and dressed as other soldiers in the Legions with long coat, boots and the Raupenhelm (caterpillar helmet).  Officer in duelling pose with pistol (A), musician with horn and musket (B), sergeant swinging axe (C), standard bearer with sword sword (D).  Four different poses of light company trooper these being running with musket forward (E), kneeling firing musket (F), standing loading musket (G) and sprinting flat out leg in the air (H). All have extra equipment such as packs on their backs and cartridge boxes about their persons.  Ideal to mix in with your line infantry or for skirmishing.  A unit of twelve (with saving built in) or single miniature booster.
