DH19 Baggage Turtle released 28mm Fantasy

DH19 Baggage Turtle with Gnome Rider:  One resin Turtle covered in mixed baggage and a metal Gnome rider who sits atop it.  Excellent for your campaigning and a real eye catching piece.  Sculpted by Kieran Billings.  It is 50mm long and 40mm tall with rider. Flower of Evil III free in orders and what is coming until March 10th

EH09 Flower of Evil III:  You can use it in 28mm in 15mm or 6mm as it sizes its threat to your other miniatures. Horror Games, Post Apocalyptic, Science Fiction, Plant Wars (they are Triffic!) and more. One piece resin miniature which is 28mm across and 10mm tall. Its mouth gapes and a tongue lolls. Other miniatures shown with it are for scale comparison only and not supplied.

What is coming and happening before 10th March 2025

During the next month or so we have a lot happening.  Our Deals and Offers has been updated with some new treats added to the array there.  Among others are HOF27 Maginot Defence Tower and HOF156 Combat Saucer (Grey Aliens) plus 59520 Mortar in 28mm scale all at 25% off. These new will last until the end of this period.  

Our Bases for Miniatures Range will expand further with MDF sizes for HOTT 2nd Edition and its 15mm Armies.  We will have a new 28mm Ion Age release for the Grima Combat Robots following on the Portable Weapons and related.  

Adore the Monster another classic Asgard sculpt of the 1980’s by Nick Bibby is released the Silent Shambler.

However the biggest news concerns the Dwarfish Hosts (DH) 28mm Fantasy Range.  Featuring sculptors Andy Cooper, Dave Gallagher, Mike Owen and others we are overhauling the whole range. Miniatures dating from 1987 to 2025. Brand new pictures will be joined by new molds and the expanded ability to purchase every miniature as a single and as packs with a saving baked in. Some 70 Dwarfs along with Halflings and Gnomes as well as Artillery and Monsters.  And a brand new release.

Dwarven Moustache Hobbying video review Flintloque Beir and Bones

We were delighted to be tagged on X (formally Twitter) by Dwarven Moustache Hobbying who has just discovered a new love for the World of Valon.  He recently picked up our 5028 Beir & Bones Shilling Starter Set which contains a Flintloque game book by that name plus miniatures, bases and dice as well as sample scenarios.  It is a twenty minute video over on Youtube.

The video review goes over the contents of the ninety six page book which covers the ‘Uropean’ theatre of the Mordredian Wars and features his own painted set of the Ogre and Dwarves which come in the shilling pack.

Dungeon Adventurers 1980’s range restore begins with Dwarfs by Bibby and Goodwin

Those who have been following Alternative Armies for the last seven years or so will know that we are intent on reviving as much of the classic Asgard and Tabletop ranges that we can.  First created and sold in the early 1980’s and sculpted by legends such as Nick Bibby and Jes Goodwin the time has come for the start of the Dungeon Adventurers Range to be restored into production. The natural foes of the Fantasy Monster Range and allies or enemies of the Creatures of Chaos or the Jes Goodwin Asgard Orcs this range covers Dwarfs, Gnomes, Elves, Halflings, Humans and much more.

This very large range contains some ninety poses all in and it is our intent to bring these to you in groups across time.  We begin now.  All the miniatures were painted by the talented Studio Maxi and while shown here in a group they are all as singles on the website.  Here are the codes:

Above you can see a couple of these Dungeon Adventurers range Dwarfs alongside the Jes Goodwin 1985 Dwarfs and they work well together.  Codes DA1 to DA4 are larger and DA5 to DA10 are a bit smaller.

Until 10th June 2024 the classic Asgard F6 Large Rat is free automatically in all shipped packages (see it above alongside FM77 Medium Rat which is half price in our Deals and Offers page).  Tunnel fighting beckons!

There is a direct tie in between the Dungeon Adventurers Range in 28mm scale and the Tabletop Games 15mm Fantasy Range with many of the characters mirrored in the smaller scale.

Free Solo Play Flintloque Scenario: House on the Hille...

House on the Hille: Solo full size scenario for Flintloque.  There is an intact oven left in the hands of the Al-Garvey Goblins and the Ferach Armee wants it?  It belongs to a farmer whose little house is next to it upon a hill.  Luckily the 18th Foote has gotten there first but can a combined force of Elf Lancers and Legion de Nain Dwarves dislodge them in time to gain bread for their fellows? Scenario includes unique rules, setting, map, force compositions, two play bolt on, expanding the adventure, designers notes as well. DOWNLOAD HERE.

Jes Goodwins 1985 Dwarf Warriors returned!

Not often is it possible to return to the world something wonderful in its complete form but this is such a day. In 1985 Asgard Miniatures released the Dwarf Warriors sculpted by Jes Goodwin in 28mm scale. It is now on its own page of the restored Asgard drop down menu of the website. Our set was painted by Alternative Armies lead designer Sam Croes.

Here are the restored Dwarfs alongside other miniatures we make such as the Orc Hero from the Fantasy Warlord Range and the Aged Wizard from our Wizards and Adventurers range. These larger Dwarfs were scaled up from the 15mm Tabletop and Asgard Fantasy Range where you can find their smaller brothers as packs and the super as shown FST01 Dwarf Skirmish Pack which contains all twenty poses. Ideal for skirmish. 

 

 

Last year we restored the entire Creatures of Chaos range which went down really well and continued what was done with the Nick Bibby Dragon and of course the huge Asgard FM Range which contains loads of different monsters and beasties. 

 

 

Our Dwarfish Hosts 28mm fantasy range contains over 60 poses of Dwarf as well as cavalry, artillery and the mighty DH15 Dwarf Runic Golem which is 65mm tall and a great centrepiece for an army. Every miniature can be had as a single on its page page. There is also a Multitude which contains every pose with a saving.
