15mm Human Adventurers classic 1980s by Tabletop Miniatures renewed

Alongside historical month at Alternative Armies this September we also undertook a remolding of the classic Humans in the Tabletop Fantasy Range. These popular figures get you into 15mm skirmishing or dungeon crawl or anything else with singles (within the packs), packs and a value skirmish set of all of them. 

 

 

These true scale 15mm (they match up perfectly with Laserburn and with our Dark Age and Medieval ranges) miniatures are 1.5cm to top of head for an average person in miniature.

 

 

You can see these adventurers in combat with the FM76 Dragon Newt by Nick Bibby which works in any scale. Wizard, Mage, Paladin, Cleric, Thief, Assassin, Bard, Fighters and female versions of some of those too. 

 

These Humans sit atop of steadily returning Tabletop Fantasy Range of codes which include various monsters and beasts as well as really unusual miniatures such as F34 Winged Fiend which is a great foe.

VNT46 Skeleton Adventurers released

VNT46 Skeleton Adventurers. This pack contains four different 28mm scale metal miniatures.  A skeletal Knight in damaged plate armour with Sword and Shield his jaw broken. A skeletal Barbarian with huge two handed Axe.  Skeletal Dwarf with Axe and Shield and a skeletal Wizard dressed in robes and large hat with an orb tipped Staff.  Great for any game system and to replace mortal characters of the same kind when they fall to a Necromancer. The forty sixth pack in the VNT series matches right in with the very first VNT1 The Eternal Guard which you can see below.  There is a thirty year age gap between them both; VNT1 was re-mastered in 2018.

Further restored codes added to The Torture Chamber collection

We have now added the last of the originally released codes re-mastered into the Torture Chamber range.  This completes what was around in the early 1980's.  During our deep delve into returning this requested range for collectors and diorama makers we discovered and then confirmed a couple of further codes which were never released.  Yes, never released.  These are currently being re-mastered and will arrive later in 2020 effectively brand new!

TOR16 The Burning Pit
This pack contains one metal fire pit with victim. Suitable for 28mm and 25mm uses this scenic pack contains two components these being the fire pit with its base and two upright spit holders and a near nude female victim tied to a long spit with turning handle. Easy to assemble. You can purchase a pack, or choose the the pit pieces on their own or the victim on spit on her own. Choose on screen.

TOR7B Slave Girl
This code is a single metal miniature which suits 28mm and 15mm scale uses. Laying on her back she is 27mm from foot to forehead.  Cloth bindings on her wrists and ankles her back is arched. This miniature is expanded out from the TOR15 Slave Girls and TOR7 Snake Pit codes.

TOR15Pt3 Dancing Girl
This code is a single metal miniature which suits 28mm and 15mm scale uses.  She stands 25mm to eye line.  A dancing girl for any setting dressed in a two piece costume. This miniature is expanded out from the TOR15 Harem codes.

These Torture Chamber codes are our last 28mm fantasy releases for this month.  The rest of July 2020 is all about 15mm Science Fiction and of course Flintloque too!

Dwarf Runic Golem - 65mm tall Warmachine

"The Guild of Spellsmiths and the Guild of Blacksmiths do not often clank tankards of Beir but when they do great things happen. Imagine said Gumblebeard the greatest of the white wizards what we could do with an axe wielder as large as the common Troll but alas our magics will not take a physical form on the field of battle without intricate preparation. Such preparation is hard enough without some stinking Gobber trying to cave your skull in. Tamble 'Blowback' Rustmaker chief of the Guild of Blacksmiths replied to this impassioned speech without spilling a drop of golden hops. Such a huge warrior would be most welcome and we can hammer and smith our way to clothing him but there is no Dwarf in the realm so big to wear it... Sparkes or raw mind forging flew from them both and with a resounding clank of tankards they spoke in unison. Between us we can build it and bind it with magic runes. A golem will take to the field of battle. A Dwarf Runic Golem!"

Our popular big backup muscle for 28mm Fantasy Dwarf Armies is now re-mastered and back on the website with a wee offer.  A resin kit of five pieces with a small amount of pose choice the Golem stands at 65mm tall and comes with a 50mm square base included.  Other miniatures are shown for scale and not included.  See it HERE.

Giant Spiders and Spider Swarm for any scale now released!

A creeping horror and your heart beats faster and faster as you begin to sweat and feel faint...the spiders are here.  These brand new Arachnids are in two packs with options and are great for fantasy, post apocalyptic or many other settings in scales such as 28mm, 15mm or 6mm.  Sculpted by Kieran Billings (who created the Big Mouth Beast, the Air Squid, the Crab Monster as well as the Sandworm and its Swarm oh and the Space Brains!) these models are now at Alternative Armies.  Go HERE or read on for more.

This pack contains three different giant spiders each composed of a singe piece grey tone resin body and eight white metal legs for a degree of pose choice when attached.  Each of the three bodies are different and you can use these in any scale from 6mm to 15mm and 28mm. DarkeStorme free Fog of War scenario and play sheets by Vic Dobson

Taking a change from creating excellent free content for the USEME system it is my pleasure to present free content for DarkeStorme the Skirmish from Vic Dobson. DarkeStorme is Alternative Armies generic high fantasy game system for 28mm or 15mm scale miniatures and the rules can be had in print or as a digital paid download.  

Vic has penned a great scenario called 'The Fog of War' as well as several player sheets for the game of his design and layout for your warband and for monsters.

DarkeStorme the Skirmish

DarkeStorme is a high fantasy character driven skirmish game written by Gavin Syme (GBS) creator of Erin 2nd edition, Typhon and Flintloque 3rd edition along with many other wargame rule systems and fiction.  Sixty pages containing Easy to learn D6 engine, Full rules for character combat, Full Magic System with ten levels of spells. A Monster Handling system with 'Amok' rules. Creature generation formula and many Mortal and Undead races. Expansion rules for Cavalry, Artillery and Chariots. A Full Points System. Terrain and Weather generation and special terrain generator.

Fog of War Scenario by Vic Dobson

Welcome to Fog of War a DarkeStorme scenario for two players. In this game two groups of warriors search the ruins of a village shrouded in a thick veil of magicke fog, searching for a long lost book once owned by a infamous and powerful magician! Both sides are looking for the legendary lost Book of Borganza, an Arcane Libram (spell-book) that once belonged to the ancient and powerful Mage Borganza the Wylde. The lost book now lies somewhere in the ruins of a long abandoned village in a valley shrouded by a thick magicke fog. But the book could be in any one of more than half a dozen different locations, so both sides have to search the ruins.  Download this three page scenario from our website hosting by clicking HERE.  This download also includes variant play sheets for the game. Note that there is a visual error in the scenario on page three caused by translation to PDF; it does not affect the scenario but our apologies.

While you can play DarkeStorme in 28mm you can also play it in 15mm too simply by changing ranges from Inches to Centimetres and indeed in 15mm you can use miniatures from the HOT 15mm Fantasy Range plus the Tabletop 15mm Fantasy Range. Lord Ruza is a general of a fantasy world of evil forces.
