The 24th of February 2025 is the 500th Anniversary of the Battle of Pavia the most famous battle of The Italian Wars. It was the decisive engagement of the war of 1521–1526 between the Kingdom of France and the Habsburg Empire of Charles V the Holy Roman Emperor. Nearly fifty five thousand men took to the field and France was utterly defeated. This exposed Italy to Hapsburg domination and swung the balance of European power. Read more about it HERE.
