New 15mm HOF132 SFA Scout Team released

Alternative Armies makes its release for the HOF 15mm Science Fiction range for August 2019 with a new pack for Security Force Alpha. Working with prolific wargamer Fred Richards and his vision of space colony warfare in the future we are between us creating one of the largest generic Human armies in this scale. All arms from Bikes to Battlesuits, Portable Weapons, APC's and more than eight poses of infantry. See them on the website on this refined TAG. HOF132 SFA Scout Team 

This pack contains ten 15mm scale metal miniatures taken as a mix of five different poses with one of each and random of the rest in the pack. Security Force Alpha (SFA) long range scouts and characters for your forces dressed in personalised clamshell armour and camo cloaks. You can choose a pack or single poses using the options on the web page in any quantity you wish. They are from left to right: SFA Scout bare headed with twin heavy calibre pistols (A), SFA Scout advancing with Rail Rifle (B), SFA Scout in camo cloak with full auto SMG (C), SFA Scout with shoulder mount Missile Launcher (D) and a Mastiff Dog outfitted for long range scouting (E). OH36 Armoured Goblin Crew and Torsion Catapult released

“No one told me that those damn Goblins had artillery! My men took this contract with your king on the understanding they would be fighting a bunch of stick waving savages. This is the Iron Guard! Bring me my horse squire. This campaign is over!” 

The expansion of our Goblin Knights 'old skool style' continues with the release of a new pack of armoured crew and a second new artillery piece which follows up on the Kraken Fish Bombard last time. Back in 2018 we began the new releases (see our blog on this TAG to read all the articles and see the pictures including the painted collection of Benamon Tame) in our 28mm Orcs and Goblins range. There are more than thirty packs (all can be had as single miniatures too) in the range now including other Armoured Goblins plus a Giant Troll as well as artillery pieces, chariots and many Orcs. 

The new crew were created by Zach Martin while our own Sam Croes crafted the torsion catapult. These go perfectly with the open handed Goblin Knights with a choice of weapons. You can get the catapult on its own and it fits right in with any Goblinoid or evil orientated or primitive army. 

OH36 Goblin Knight Crew with Torsion Catapult 

This code contains two different 28mm scale metal miniatures approx 22mm in height plus a nine part metal artillery piece which is easy to assemble. Select your choice from the drop down menu on the website. Poses in this code are as follows: 

OH36-01: Goblin in full plate armour and helm pointing. 

OH36-02: Goblin in full plate armour holding a large rock. 

OH36-03: Catapult kit.

OH36-03 Torsion Catapult 

This code contains one 28mm scale metal artillery piece kit. Composed of nine pieces the torsion catapult is easy to assemble. Great for use in any evil orientated or barbaric army. A great portable artillery piece for your force. When built it is 45mm long and 40mm tall. This model is supplied unpainted and unassembled without a base. Known Space 2250 Setting for USE ME 15mm Science Fiction and USEME Starship Battles

Created by Vic Dobson as a background setting for a series of scenarios he's written for UM001 15mm Sci-Fi and UM006 Starship Battles, this futuristic setting covers a wide variety of race ideas for both humans and aliens all inspired by the Alternative Armies (and others) ranges of miniatures. Inside you will find such alien races as the tradition obsessed Vergan Empire, the warlike Octopod Combine, and the tragic ancient Zidhe.  Alongside these (and other) alien races there are numerous human states, such as the Federal Systems Republic, the Core Systems Corporation, the Concorde of Charlemagne, and the Star Kingdom of Nova Albion. The setting includes the Setting Map, Setting Time line, the Setting itself plus Campaign Rules and a Special Actions Reference sheet used in the setting.  Download from our online storage by CLICKING HERE.

The Von Rotte Legion free booklet to download for Flintloque and Slaughterloo

In the aftermath of the Severed Ears War the legions of the Von Rotte were exiled from Krautia along with their illustrious leader the Baron Frederick the Ales Von Rotte. Having tangled just once too often with Artur the ruler of Krautia the Baron had little choice but to throw in his lot with the Elves of Armorica. The newly formed Confederation of Finklestein, a loosely tied group of small Dwarven states, welcomed the Von Rotte legions with open arms. Finely drilled infantry, cavalry and gunners were thin on the ground and a general as talented as the Baron was rare indeed. There are ten different choices of troops in this Army. Above you can see core favourites 52521 Von Rotte Light Troops and 52520 Von Rotte Hussars which is where many players begin their journey with this force.

If you are wanting to get into Flintloque then of course you should begin by checking out 5024 Escape the Dark Czar in which there are miniatures which work well with the Von Rotte as those Dwarves are in the Witchlands too.  If you are keen on Mass Battle then check out Slaughterloo and the Divisional Army Pack (DAP) for these Dwarves (code 52603).  As with all codes in the World of Valon range you can select a pack, or a unit, or single trooper booster plus the option of purchasing painted and based ready for play when it comes to the Legion.
