Draw made for Field of Waterloo book winner announced

Our promotions across Alternative Armies and 15mm.co.uk to celebrate the 200th Anniversary of Waterloo are now over. I would like to thank all of you who placed orders for Flintloque and Slaughterloo codes and Brickdust codes as well. We wore out three sets of molds of the 59010 Slaughterloo Monument and we made many thousands of 15mm Napoleonic miniatures too. Packages are winging round the world and the last of the orders from the promotional period will be coming out next week at this time due to the order volume. In the meantime...do you remember that for extra fun I was going to hold a random draw to win one of my own books?

Well the draw has now occurred! Here to remind you was what I said back a few weeks ago:

I have a copy of 'The Field of Waterloo' by Paul Davies published by Pan in 1970 to go along with the Waterloo movie starring Rod Steiger and Christopher Plummer; one of my favourite films of all time. Its worth about 10.00GBP and its in good condition and while it contains nothing unique it is rather rare as it was a promotional paperback. I am going to randomly draw an order number from all qualifying orders placed between 15th and 29th June on Alternative Armies and 15mm.co.uk and then mail the book to the winner! A qualifying order means products from Flintloque, Slaughterloo on Alternative Armies and the Brickdust 15mm Napoleonic range on 15mm.co.uk of any value. The draw will be blind from a hat and the winner announced. I wanted to mark this anniversary in my own way and to make it a bit more fun.

A winner has been drawn! The winner will get the book in the mail most likely by the end of the week along with a short note. I have also emailed the winner to let them know their luck.

Our winner is a fine lady in the UK named Katie Lucas! Well done Katie!

Bring on July!

Inspired by the release of the Slaughterloo Monument sculptor and all round top guy Christian Cello has penned a short tale and Flintloque scenario called 'The Spirit of Slaughterloo. Luthia a Valon Tale by Ken Baggaley

The World of Valon is an inspiring place indeed. As well as being the fictional setting for the Mordredian Wars and wargames such as Flintloque and Slaughterloo it is also a place of many tall tales and a great amount of stories. Many of these are created by Alternative Armies but a good deal are written by fans of Valon and this is the case for Luthia. Written by Ken Baggaley the land of Luthia is a place of adventure and 'fun' for the downtrodden Dwarves who go there. A great read its a must for fans of Valon.

We have created a PDF of the tale which features artwork as yet never seen by Valonian artist Edward Jackson.

You can download the full four page with artwork PDF of the Luthia tale from our dropbox account for free using this link. Click HERE.

Well done Ken!

Thoas the Giant for Typhon PDF rules by Chris Walkey

Its no secret that Chris Walkley is now a fan of Typhon the game of Greek Myth from Alternative Armies. His review of the game which can be found on our blog and his own led him to co-operate with me in creating statistics for a monster in the Typhon range. HE10 Thoas the Giant was once kin to the Titans was cast out into the mortal world where he makes havoc and kills many Heroes who dare to end his reign of terror. A fantastic two piece white metal miniature that stands 65mm tall (not including the Axe and arms).

You can download a two page PDF for free using this LINK from our dropbox account. It contains some background along with game rules and also a short guide to Shades and terrain ideas for them too. A good document for all fans of Typhon.

You can currently get the Typhon book for 10% off its normal price on our website.
